Understanding Your DAO Dashboard

Welcome to your DAO dashboard on Gitopia! This guide will walk you through the key sections and help you manage your DAO effectively.

Dashboard Navigation

Your dashboard has four main tabs at the top:

  • Overview
  • Repositories
  • Members
  • Proposals

Let's explore each section:

Overview

Overview

The Overview tab gives you a quick snapshot of your DAO's status. Here you'll find:

  1. Basic Information

    • Your DAO's description
    • Website link
    • Treasury balance in LORE tokens
  2. Governance Settings

    • How long proposals stay open for voting
    • Required quorum for decisions
    • Which repository actions need DAO approval (like merging pull requests or creating releases)

Members

Members

The Members tab shows everyone in your DAO and their voting power:

  1. Member List

    • See all members' usernames and display names
    • Each member's voting power is shown on the right
    • Manage members through the "Manage Members" button
  2. Voting Distribution

    • The pie chart shows how voting power is spread across members
    • Hover over sections to see member details

Repositories

Repositories

Here you can see all projects under your DAO:

  1. Repository List

    • Name and description of each repository
    • Click any repository to view details
  2. Creating Repositories

    • Use "New Repository" to start a new project

Proposals

Proposals

This is where decisions happen:

  1. Active Proposals

    • See proposals and remaining voting time
    • View vote counts and current status
    • Cast your vote with Yes/No/Abstain options
  2. Proposal History

    • Filter proposals by status (All/Active/Passed/Rejected)
    • Review past decisions
    • Learn from proposal outcomes

Getting Started

If you're new to managing a DAO:

  1. First, check the Overview tab to understand your current settings
  2. Review your member list and voting power distribution
  3. Look through active proposals that need your attention
  4. Monitor repository activity for your projects
