Currently, you can only create a dao, add collaborators, add new repositories and provide authorizations specific to your DAO on Gitopia. More DAO-specific features will be added in future upgrades. If you want to suggest any feature to be added to the DAO, you can let us know by raising an issue on the Gitopia repository or by posting your feature request on Discord.
Creating a new DAO from scratch
Step 1: Navigate to Gitopia Home Page
To create a new DAO on Gitopia, click on Create a DAO on the Home Page.
Step 2: Fill in DAO information
- On the resulting page, fill in the DAO Name, Description and other details.
- Once you are done, Click on Create DAO.
Step 3: Manage DAO
On successfully creating your DAO, you will be redirected to the DAO Dashboard. Currently, you can add collaborators, add new repositories and provide authorizations specific to your DAO from here.
When you create a new DAO from scratch, it doesn't have any repositories associated with it. You can add repositories to your DAO by creating a new repository in it or transferring an existing repository to your DAO account.
Adding members to your DAO
- To add members to your DAO, go to the 'members' section of your DAO, enter the wallet address of the user you want to add and then click on Add.
- The new collaborator can now access the DAO as per his assigned role.
